We are a happy group and we love what we do. We believe in a team approach. We may assign one or two of our team members to facilitate the discussions depending on the situation. We may also assign another team member to act as an observer to give valuable feedback to the mediators during break times.
In addition to being trained, credentialed, and experienced mediators, most of us have gained valuable personal experience as a family caregiver for an elderly or disabled person. Some of us also have professional training and work experience in the senior services industry. Our team members include social workers, educators, and lawyers. We understand the difficult challenges you and your family are facing because we’ve been down that road, too.
We will work with you to find mutually-agreeable, unique solutions to your current challenges. We can also teach families how to better communicate so they can work together to create plans and minimize future conflict.
I am a credentialed mediator and Certified Professional in Human Resources with a successful career for over twenty-five years in marketing, management, sales, negotiation, employee relations, and human resources. In 2014, I launched my own business, A.D. Collaborative Solutions LLC, which allows me the flexibility to care for my elderly mother. I enjoy helping others identify problems, rebuild relationships, facilitate conversations, and work collaboratively to find win-win solutions that meet their goals.
I have been practicing as a credentialed mediator since 2010 and enjoy helping people solve difficult issues. After having worked in the Central Texas senior services industry for 12 years and having experienced the challenges and joy of caring for my elderly father, I know that aging and caregiving can be a long and difficult process. I believe that elder mediation and facilitation is a great way to help families and businesses efficiently solve their problems. I'm proud to be of service.
I have been mediating as a credentialed mediator since 2007. In addition to smoothly navigating the elder care issues in my own family, I have also advised many friends about their situations. When there are important decisions to be made regarding elderly loved ones, there can arise much emotion and confusion and poor communication. It is often helpful to have a caring, skilled, and neutral mediator assist a family with their communication and decision making.
I have been mediating since 2009 on a wide variety of issues including family matters, landlord/tenant issues, employer/employee disputes, commercial contract disagreements, arguments between neighbors, and juvenile justice matters. I like mediating because this gives people the opportunity to be in a safe and neutral environment so that they can speak about what is important to them while also gaining an understanding of what is important to others. I am currently employed as the Director of Human Resources for a local accounting firm.
I am an administrative and support specialist for ElderPeace Partners. My science background and my professional library and business experiences give me an orderly and pragmatic approach to my work. Sharing caregiving responsibilities with four siblings has taught me the importance of good communication and early intervention by a neutral party when conflict arises. It has also taught me great patience and respect for everyone who is facing the demands of aging and caregiving. I am happy to be a member of an organization that is dedicated to creating peace within the elder community.
I am a sales executive for ElderPeace Partners. I have worked in the senior services industry since 2000, helping families and their loved ones obtain in-home care and related services. For three years, I also managed a local retirement community with over 120 residents. Working with the elderly and their families has been a very educational as well as spiritually rewarding experience for me.
I have been a credentialed mediator since 1991, mediating mostly family law cases dealing with families and their struggles. I am a licensed attorney, but I limit my practice to mediation because I firmly believe people can find their own best solutions to their problems, rather than trusting judges and juries to decide for them. My interest in elder mediation began with the death of my father in 2008. Since then, I have helped my elderly mother navigate the complex world of medical care, retirement homes, assisted living, and nursing homes. I am excited to use my professional training and personal experience to help others resolve disputes related to aging and caregiving.
I have served as a credentialed mediator since 2001 in the Austin area. I have a diverse background in engineering, government, business, as well as experience in the non-profit sector. I am the father of a son with special needs and understand that caregiving can be a lifelong journey. I mediate because I find it rewarding to be able to help people in their life journeys.
When I began mediating in 1987, the use of mediation was a relatively new practice in Texas. Over the last 30 years, I have been pleased with how widely mediation is now employed. Because I've mediated for so long, I have gained broad experience in assisting parties resolve disputes on a wide variety of issues. In addition to my longstanding practice as a mediator, I have also served as the Executive Director of the Nueces County Dispute Resolution Center in Corpus Christi for six years. I firmly believe that mediation is the ideal and most peaceful way to resolve unrest because it is based on the principle of win/win/win.
I’m an attorney and credentialed mediator who very much enjoys working with people, listening to their concerns, and helping them find unique solutions that meet their specific needs. I’ve been practicing law since 2002 and mediating cases since 2014. My past work as a legal aid lawyer for eight years, during which I assisted many seniors, led me to open Florek Law Office, a legal practice focused on elder issues such as estate and Medicaid planning. I am excited to combine my interests in serving seniors and using mediation as a way to resolve disputes in creative and empowering ways.
I have been practicing as a credentialed mediator since 2012, helping families and businesses effectively solve their disputes. My professional career includes positions in higher education, training, and 21 years in law enforcement serving as an investigator and officer. In addition to mediating, I currently teach criminal justice classes as a professor at a local university. I enjoy helping others identify and solve problems so they can rebuild their personal and business relationships.
